I have a Mini Z2 G9 with an Intel Core i5 13500 and NVIDIA T1000 (4Go). It's connected with 3 medical screens.

I have to bought computers for my company, perhaps this model, but I am worried because at the level of the graphics card the device becomes hot when using our business software.

The graphics chip rises to 72-75 degrees. The case also gets quite hot. Not boiling but hot enough to be unpleasant to the touch.

The fans remain fairly quiet. The machine seems to heat up without the need for strong ventilation.

Is it a problem to have such temperatures over time (over several years of use)?
The processor seems to stay cool, around 50 degrees.

Thanks. And sorry for my english (french customer).

@Chandler85,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

The temps you listed are well within the thermal range, I don't see an issue here.

Considering the thermal challenges of packing standard desktop components into a small chassis, HP has made this little guy as rugged and dependable as they can.

HP has also said that the HP Z2 Mini G9 undergoes mil-std 810h tests along with ambient air environments with temperatures up to 40° C.

Anyway, what you can do is to provide adequate ventilation and to occasionally use compressed ("canned") air to keep the fans/heatsink free of dust.

Kind Regards,
