Hey all I just got this Hp p6-2033w for free at a garage sale and I'm wondering what's the best graphics card I can install in it! I know it won't support above the gtx7** but I'm curious on what your input is. I'll be giving this pc to my brother and he wants to basically use it for light gaming like minecraft and a few other games. Please let me know what's the best advice is for this 10+ year old pc lol

Also I forgot to add there's a and radeon hd 6450 for $10 near me would that be a decent card to put in the machine?

Hi:

 

The HD 6450 would be better than the onboard Intel graphics would be, and for $10 that is a good deal.

 

The PC has a legacy BIOS, so you can't install a graphics card newer than that one anyway.

 

The PC has a 300W power supply, so if you wanted to install a better card than the HD 6470, you could install an AMD Radeon HD 6570 or a Nvidia GT 630.

 

But for $10, I'd try out the HD 6450 and see how your brother likes it.
