Hp pavilion p7-1439 PC has trouble recognizing EVGA GEFORCE GTX 750 Ti video card

Product Name: Hp pavilion p7-1439 PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
HP Pavilion p7-1439 PC has trouble recognizing EVGA GEFORCE GTX 750 Ti video card. Takes numerous reboots for it to work (has to be forcibly shut down, since it generally comes up with no video). Have had same problem with previous HP Pavilion, and previous nvidia graphics card. Problem is worse (any reboot) recent months, used to be rare issue. Video card is less than a year old. Currently, after forced windows update, system comes up with dim orange power bar, but normally it comes up with green bar. Every time I troubleshoot I try various things, but nothing in particular seems to fix it, it just seems to magically come up after a restart.

Hi @Handshaw

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query in this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are having issues with the display on the computer.

Don’t worry, we will work together to resolve this issue and It’s a pleasure to assist you in this regard.

I checked the product specification of your computer and I see that the graphics card was not preinstalled on the computer. I recommend you to remove the graphics card and check whether it helps.

HP doesn’t recommend upgrade or downgrade of any hardware components as it may cause conflicts.

Hope that answers your question and you have a great day!

Take care.

[ Edited ]

I've tried removing the video card before and again.  After reading some other posts in the Internet, I believe this is more of an issue with my Corsair CX600M Power Supply which I understand all "C" models have capacitor problems.  PSUs have caused many problems, which is one reason I upgraded to the Corsair PSUs to begin with (I have 2).  After being off for 24 hours, not only did the Pavilion boot up with a blue power bar (not orange) but so did everything else (except a couple of old hard drives).

I just bought a Brand New EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2, 80+ GOLD 750W, Fully Modular, EVGA ECO Mode, which should handle things nicely.
