Pavilion power desktop 580-010
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am upgrading  desktop, so i searched H.P.'s website for the supported upgrades for this model, i installed 16 gig of 2400 ram - no problems

Installed nvidia k4000 video card- no peoblems

Installed a i7-7700 3.6 processor. The computer boots up and works fine, but when i look in the device manager, it still shows i3 processor. How can i update the info? And if its working fine, do i really need to update the info?

Restart it again from within Windows then check it again.

If that doesn't work do a Windows update.

There's a whole bunch of things to try after that but one of those usually works.
