Help ?! Bought this computer for my son to game for Xmas thinking it’d work. I know zero about this. Apparently graphics card stinks- I’ve been given 3 compatible ones radiA 6350, 7450 or a Nvidia 300. Will these even make a difference for him or should I get a different computer. He doesn’t play fortnite anymore but think games similar to that need to work. Thanks so much. !!!- Gwen

i have several of these systems,... and no they are not gaming systems you will need to replace it as it uses a custom 230 watt supply that can not be upgraded and the motherboard is a custom non standard design this system (6300 pro) is excellent for web browsing, word/excel banking and other business tasks
the fastest affordable card that will work in your 6300 is a
AMD Radeon R5 430 OEM
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-r5-430-oem.c2893
there are other cards,.... but they cost over 100.00 and i think replacing the 6300 system at that price is the way to go
if buying a gaming system, avoid any Small form Factor Case (SFF) or any All In One (AIO) systems
you want a bog standard "MINITOWER" case that uses a ATX compatible power supply and motherboard, also this motherboard needs to have PCI-E 2.0 or better (current is pci-e 3/4)
for older systems Intel based ones are preferred, the link below shows a ATX case/motherboard i do not recommend any system that i link to, they are just examples
if buying a new motherboard/cpu then the second or third gen AMD ryzen MB/CPU based systems are preferred
example:
in basic/general terms you want a core i5 QUAD CORE cpu and 8GB ddr 4 (or ddr 3 for old systems) using a pci-e 2.0 or 3.0 bus for the card slots and you want the case/motherboard/power supply to be ATX compatible and have UEFI enabled BIOS
for gaming ,the system should be no older than 5 years as earlier systems are not uefi compatible and the video card should be a nvidia 1050/1060 or if you can afford it a 2060 super
