Humming Noise

HP Recommended
HP ALL IN ONE 27 dp0xxx

Hi I have just purchased this desktop and the computer is making a loud humming noise.

Sounds like the fan.

I'm wondering if this is an easy fix or if I should return it?

If the brand-new computer is connected to the Internet, for the very first time, Windows Update (and Adobe Updater, and Apple Update,) may be trying to download and update your software. This "work" causes the processor to heat up, and the motherboard speeds-up the fan(s) to try to cool the interior, with the side-effect of making more noise from the fan.

Let it update, for up to 24 hours, and then see if the fan-noise diminishes.
