I have an HP Pavillion Slimline 400-220 with 6gb RAM. It runs REAL slow, like molasses in winter. I presumebthe slowness is due to lack of RAM. IF that's the cause, how much RAM can I install?

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs for your PC, where you can find the memory upgrade info.

HP Pavilion Slimline 400-220x Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

This should be a compatible 16 GB memory kit for your PC:

Crucial 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) DDR3L-1600 UDIMM | CT2K102464BD160B | Crucial.com

Only having 4 GB of memory would be a contributing factor to the slowness but probably even more of a contributor would be the slow performing mechanical hard drive.

Replacing that with a better performing 2.5" solid state drive (SSD) would help performance considerably.
