The subject line pretty much covers it. I already checked inside the box. But I'm not sure enough to jump in and start investing money.... thanks!

I appreciate what you.

However, I have yet to find a diagram of the motherboard that defines where anything helpful on the HP web site, especially the sockets. Or just a clue of what to do. My SSD drive in fastened to the motherboard, and to me, it's not clear where to fasten the additional one. The last thing I need to blow the motherboard (or anything else in this box).

Thanks!

sorry

you have no choice, if you want a larger capacity m2 SSD, you have to remove the one in place
you can not add one, but only in sata certainly

I don't want to Expand the SSD. I want a 'twin' SSD because I want to clone the primary SSD onto a clone for a rebootable SSD. I have had 3 failures of the had drive. One on a Dell and 2 on this HP. And, yes, I had (supposedly) a clone (obviously, when I needed it it didn't work).

Sorry, your question is not clear to me.
You cannot install a second M2 ssd in the computer simply
if the goal is to clone the SSD in place, then use an adapter designed for usb, it's the simplest
if you have problems on a system disk, cloning it is not always the best option, depending on the problems, chances are that it will fail, for the future
But why not take the opportunity to install one of greater capacity, it is also possible
"" And, yes, I had (supposedly) a clone (obviously, when I needed it it didn't work). ""
so there I am not following you, if you have already tried, how, what did you do??
