I have a HP Compaq dc 5800, and I was wondering if I could transfer its internal components to another case?

Any help on the matter would be appreciated, and do you have any recommended cases?

@TheBlurrg , welcome to the forum.

HP has their cases, motherboards and other components made to their specifications.  Therefore, they are not necessarily the same as retail components.  The problems that you may encounter are: 1) the stand-offs in the new case matching the holes in the motherboard and 2) the front connectors for the case may not match.  Your best option would be to choose a case manufacturer and contact their Tech Support for help.  They are the experts on their products and should be able to tell you if the motherboard will fit their case.  Otherwise, it would be impossible for us to tell you which cases will work.
