I have upgraded the memory in my all in one to 8gb... but system now wont boot. I have swapped mem modules between sockets (channels) but still nothing.
I have replaced the original mem in Channel A with the new memory and the systems boots as per... but whenever I have both mem modules installed in whatever config, the system fails to initialise with HDD not spinning up and screen blank.
any ideas....?

@blueyonderboy Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that after upgrading the memory laptop will not boot.
Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.
Please let us know the total how many rams you have installed on your computer.
This model only supports up to 8GB. Please see the specification
Please perform the memory test and check.
1) Shutdown the computer.
2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.
3) Press F2 once.
4) Go to the Component test.
5) From the list, run the Memory (extensive) test.
