HP Envy 750-171
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello. I would like to upgrade the graphics card on my Hp Envy 750-171. The current graphics card is the one installed by HP. This graphics card is called the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745. The power supply is 500 watts.

I would like to get a NVIDIA graphics card. I would like either a NVIDIA GTX 1070, or a NVIDIA GTX 970.  I'm not sure if they will fit. Is there any way to tell? Will I need to upgrade my current PSU? Are there any other GPUs you recommend? Thanks.

@umadjag, welcome to the forum.

The best way to tell if the card will fit is measure the space where the card will be installed.  This should be done from the back I/O ports to the front of the case.

Your current PSU should be fine.  I like to have at least 100W of excess power for peak needs, however.

I have had a R9-390X which was a great card.
