I need to know the screw size for the BlizzardU motherboard SSD mount. The SSID:894B motherboard

My ENVY desktop arrived without a proper installation of the SSD drive, there is no mounting screw and the drive was in the bottom of the case, I have the machine recovered on drive 2 and would like to mount the ssd . Not sure of the ssd mount screw size, and the manual does not mention it. I guess i could order a selection of screw sizes from amazon. Would be nice to know if the correct size is in the SSD mount screws package. Thank You

Hi:

Unless someone on this forum installed a SSD in that motherboard, there is no telling.

There is no documentation which provides the M.2 SSD mounting screw size for any HP desktop PC that I know of.

Generally, a M.2 SSD screw is 2 mm in diameter by 3 mm in length.

If you have a local PC repair shop nearby, give them a visit and see if they can provide you with a few screws they may have that would fit.

Otherwise yes, you could order a random M.2 SSD mounting screw kit on Amazon.

Thank You for the reply I have investigated the mounting screws on amazon, Would you know what thermal pad i would need to use, HP failed to include a thermal pad on the MB, I am suspicious that this may have been a returned or refurbished with them trying to sell it as new

I pulled the parts list for a model in the series sold in the United States with the same motherboard and it came with a 512 GB NVMe SSD.

The thermal pad has this part number and description:

M22460-001

The part is not orderable from HP.
