HP p6720f Desktop BV532AA#ABA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have a HP desktop p6720f,  with AMD Phenom IIX4 8407 Processor that was a free upgrade to Windows 10 Pro 64Bit a few years ago.

System memorys is 6GB with 3 Memory slots each at 2GB Micro 1333 MHZ.

Video Graphic Memory is AII Radeon DD 4200-1920X1080 2940 MB.

The System Board 2ABI.00 America Megatrends BIOS 6.04 as of 9/7/2010.

Audio is Realtek HD version 6.0.1.7535.

I have 3 external hard drives for backing up.

All Network and modem equip up to date.

All devices are up to date. McAfee virus protection.

Every thing runs.....except slowly....programs are slow to open, choppy and internet pages are slow to load; turning pages causes freezes, locks or stalls with all the ads when on the internet constantly loading.  I don't have many programs running in the background or turn them off and I can only do 1 or 2 tasks at at time smoothly.

I was thinking I could replace the memory with more speed upgrading the system memory from 6 to 8 or 10, using replacement memory boards in the 3 memory slots.

Is this doable?

Would this improve the speed?

Create any conflicts?

What memory brand boards and where can I optain them?

Thanks,

S

You can upgrade to 16GB  (4 x 4GB). Two sets of the gollowing kit would be a great choice.
