I am wanting to upgrade the graphics card in my system to an Nivdia GTX 970 but haven't been able to find out if it is compatible or not.  Could someone please let me know if it is or not.  Thanks

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

The 795-0037 has a proprietary motherboard and a proprietary SFF 400 watt power supply. This creates graphics card upgrade problems.

The 970 requires a 500 watt PSU with two six pin PCIe power connections. A retail SFF ATX PSU (using a 24 pin motherboard connection) will not work with your PC's motherboard. A GTX 2060 also requires a 500 watt PSU and one eight pin PCIe power connection.

HP, at this time and to the best of my knowledge, does not have a SFF 500 watt PSU that would be compatible. There may be one on the way?

The Nvidia 970 reference card is a dual slot card and is about 10.5 inches in length.

The 970 upgrade does not look promising at this time.

Regards
