HP Pavilion 590-p0040
Microsoft Windows 11

Currently, we have 8GB of RAM installed.  We want to upgrade or increase RAM for better performance.  We are wanting to know the recommendation 16GB or 32GB.  It is not for gaming and we believe 16GB of RAM should be good.  Also, we would need the specs for the increase in RAM so that we can purchase the correct equipment.  Installation instructions as well or recommend to use a local computer shop.

Memory upgrade information is on the motherboard support page below.

PC4-19200 (DRR4-2400)

If you really want a performance gain, use an SSD for storage instead of the OEM legacy HDD.

16 GB would be an improvement. Install two identical compatible memory modules for dual channel mode operation.

Guaranteed compatible memory upgrades if you purchase direct from the manufacturer.

You can purchase Kingston memory in the US.
