I am trying to add an Nvidia GTX 108oTi to the HP Envy 795-0030xt. Is this possible? It seems the 1080Ti card needs a 8pin and a 6 pin power connector, but the PSU from the computer only has a 6+2. do I need to purchase a more powerful PSU?

The following spreadsheet lists the only PSU's that fit those models, as these are proprietary power supplies.
Can you verify that the unit has a 500W HP L05757-800 PSU, so I can add the plug to the data?
Look at my spreadsheet. The 795-0030qd has a verified GTX1080 with 500W PSU, The GTX 1080Ti added another 70W load on that PSU. The GTX1080Ti has not been tested on the supply. "CLICK ON DATA SHEET".
I only upgrade this spreadsheet when I get confirmed data.
If you want to try it, get a PCIE 8 pin to 2 PCIE 6+2 pin
