Pavillion PC 570-023w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to install a x1 PCIe video capture card into a x16 slot on a  pavillion 507-023w with a Lubin 82F2 board.

Problem is that the system will not detect anything that is not a graphics card. Is this slot for video only? i noticed that the system will not run the onboard and PCIe video at the same time so im wondering if the onboard Intel 630 is using up the 16 lanes the processor has and it will only switch the x16 slot on when a video card is in that slot. Any one else have this issue?

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, After reading your post, I did go through the motherboard specifications, Lubin of your product and found that you have 1 One PCI-E x16 socket graphics interface.

If your computer came with on-board video only and you installed a new video card, remove the video card.

If your computer came with a video card installed and you replaced the original card with a new card, remove the new card. Replace the original card in the computer.

Disable Secure Boot and enable Legacy Boot

Follow these steps to disable Secure Boot in the BIOS.

  1. Use one of the following methods to open the Computer Setup Utility.

    • Turn on the computer and immediately press the F10 key repeatedly, about once every second, until the Computer Setup Utility opens.

    • Turn on the computer and immediately press the Escape key repeatedly, about once every second, until the Startup menu opens. Then press F10.

To navigate the menus, choose menu screens by pressing the left or right arrow keys. Use the up or down arrow keys to move through the list of items on the menu screen. Press the Enter key to select an item and open a submenu. Then use the left and right arrow keys to modify the settings. Press the F10 key to save the changes and exit from a submenu, or press the Esc key to exit from a submenu without saving the changes.

  2. Use the right arrow key to choose the Security menu, use the down arrow key to select Secure Boot Configuration, then press Enter.

  4. Use the down arrow key to select Secure Boot, then use the right arrow key to modify the setting to Disable.

  5. Use the down arrow key to select Legacy Support, then use the right arrow key to modify the setting to Enable.

  6. Press F10 to accept the changes.

  7. Use the left arrow key to select the File menu, use the down arrow key to select Save Changes and Exit, then press Enter to select Yes.

  8. The Computer Setup Utility closes and the computer restarts. As soon as the computer starts, a message appears indicating that the boot mode has changed.

  9. Type the four-digit code shown in the message, then press Enter to confirm the change.

note:No text field displays for the code. This is expected behavior. When you type the numbers, the code is logged even without a text field.

    The computer starts Windows.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
