Hi,
I am interested in this desktop pc: HP Desktop M01-F0030ng.
In the pdf, the Milton motherboard is described as having single-channel memory x 2 DIMMS(8 and 16).
Is this accurate? If so,how come? I understand chopping the number of memory slots from 4 to 2 but someone got that greedy or sloppy as to cut the wrong ones 🙂
Any clarification is much appreciated. Like single or dual being not that big of a deal.
Thanks

Its specs
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06516945
which show in ONLY has RAM on 1 slot 8 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB). I can't run dual channel now with only 1 piece os RAM. Dual means two.
The link to its motherboard is dead but I believe it should have 2 slots of RAM, you can add SAME 8GB more to slot 2 and it will run dual channels.

Hi, @innn
Here is a working link to the motherboard specs.
https://support.hp.com/th-en/document/c06459905
2 slots.
It sounds to me like you are right...HP is saying single channel even with two matching memory modules installed.
Memory running in single data rate mode (single channel), is not as good as memory running in dual data rate (dual channel) mode.
