HP Desktop - 260-a114
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This machine came with DDR3L memory.  Will regular DDR3 work in it?

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs for your PC.

HP Desktop - 260-a114 PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

It was designed to run on DDR3L (1.35V) memory.

DDR3 memory is 1.5V and probably will not work in your PC.

there are some memory modules that are 1.35/1.5 volt compatible, but these modules usually cost more than a single voltage module and unless you know how to read a dimm label part number, hard to tell the voltage specs

if you need/want to increase ram, then visit the crucial or micron websites, enter your system model number and they will show compatible modules
