the hp-centre would be free of charge, i assume; not so a local repair shop. 

 

you didn't answer the following. 

there's probably no point in asking around in the community or the support.

what about the cd-rom i mentioned before, though?

the original installation cd-rom for my printer.

hp ought to have it.
