Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I type on my Keyboard, the letters show up on my monitor, as they should.  If I type at a normal or fast rate of speed, the monitor can not keep up with the typing.  I have gone through the self helps, but it still does the same.  If I shut the computer down and reboot, it works correctly for a while and then slows down again.  I tried another keyboard and it operates the same.  I have checked for updated drivers and they are the latest.  If I hold down the Shift key and rotate the mouse wheel.  sometimes the screen changes as it should.  Sometimes it runs where you are up and down on the page.  The Computer and Monitor are both HP.  Appreciate all the help I gan get.

Hi @w4rrh,
Welcome to HP Support Community. This is a great place to post questions and find answers.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing keyboard issues with your HP Notebook.

Please follow the steps listed below to test the keyboard.
1. In Windows, search for an open HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows, and then select Run as administrator.
NOTE: If the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows app is not available on your computer, download the latest version from this link

2. The app opens to the main menu. Click Component Tests.
3. The Component Tests menu displays. Your Component Tests menu might be different, depending on the components installed on your computer.
4. To run the test, click Input Devices, click Keyboard, and then click Run once. The Keyboard Test time is 3 minutes.
