Z440
Linux

Hello and good day to you.

I've acquired a Z440 board which I have put into a Fractal R5 case.

I have after market connectors for the power but I'm struggling to find out what the pinout sequence is for the Front UI.

There are 26 pins (including the key which is at pin 6).

In the maintenance manual diagram it is shown as item 25.

There is NO pinout schematic/diagram in the Maintenance/Service manual, or in/on any of the documentation available from the support page for the Z440/640.

Printed on the board, at the 26 pin block, are the following markings. Start Pin (triangle), FRNT (and what looks like) UI, PD3501 and pin number 25.

I recognize that there are a number of functions that will not be 'connected' as a result of using a non HP case.

I'm trying to work out the pin positions for Power LED, HDD LED, Reset Switch, Power Switch.

There are pinout schematics on the web but none of them are for a 26 pin block. I have found a pinout schema for a 16 pin block and an 18 pin block. The 16 pin block lines up with the key (pin 6) but doesn't indicate any pins for the reset. Based on information I have found, there are plenty of Z420/620 pinouts but nothing for the Z440/640.

Can anybody help?

Please and thank you.

You may have missed this.

Page 5 chapter 1.

It does not have pinouts, but you can see where you should be plugging in the connectors for the various features that you asked about.

Hello and good day to you.

Thank you for your reply.

I apologize for not being more clear, I did however point out  that "In the maintenance manual diagram it is shown as item 25." which as you have pointed out is found on Page 5 of Chapter 1.

Again, my problem is that I have a non-standard case so the connectors are not in a block/connector so it's not possible to connect them (individually) without having a pin-out to give me an understanding of what goes where.

I would be grateful if you could keep digging or reach out to any of your colleagues/associates to see if someone else has more information that might help.

Please and thank  you,
