Hi,
I'm looking to replace a faulty disk drive in my desktop and want to be sure I get something compatible. I had installed a Seagate Ironwolf which didn't work and Seagate couldn't resolve so I want to be sure I buy something that will work.
Any recommendations for a 3+TB SATA 3 drive for my HP ENVY Desktop - 750-170se CTO?
Thanks in advance.
Tom

hi
what was your original configuration?
there is nothing specified here, probably because a multiple configuration model
I'm just asking because if not already done, if not equipped you should install a medium-sized sata SSD drive and an additional HDD if possible to have 2
if this motherboard
Figure : The Thimphu motherboard
One M.2 socket 3, key M m2 SSD

your model might not work because a particular model
you should be able to install any HDD, not too big here we see a 2 tb, three should do (probably even more)

I have installed different brands in my computers, without problems, but small in size (max 1 TB)

Thanks. My original config was a 256G SSD (OS) and a 1TB SATA 3. I then bought a 6TB Seagate Ironwolf which didn't work. I switched to a Toshiba 3TB which worked fine, but is now failing (after 2.5 years). I'm looking to replace the Toshiba right now and looking for any recommendations. Seems like 2.5 years is a short lifespan so I'm hesitant in buying another Toshiba.

just bad luck
But I have western digital and seagate WDC discs which still work after some at least 10 years
But less than 1to
possible that more fragile if very large size
