I want to upgrade my M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD 500 gb to 1T. Can it be upgrade?

that shouldn't be a problem
You can look at what is installed, and check if it exists in 1 tb
or use models already recommended here
One M.2 socket 3, key M (for SSD card PCIe x4 Gen 3)
Samsung 970 Evo Plus .. WD Black SN750 NVMe
