You're very welcome.

It will fit exactly the same as the NVMe drive did on both ends.

Bless you too, and please post back and let us know how your M.2 SSD upgrade project went.

Hi,

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

I purchased a Kingston A400 SATA SSD 240gb (NON NVME) and it worked.

It was recognised by the BIOS.

I configured it as GPT and installed Windows 10 and set it as my BOOT drive.

I am pleased to report the Kingston M.2 SATA SA400M8/240G worked on the HP Pavilion 570-a100.

It is now my boot drive.
The SSD has made a significant difference to the system performance, thermals and reduced wear / tear on the 3.5" 2TB storage hard drive.

I have attached screen shots, showing the Kingston drive is now being recognised by the HP Pavilion 570 Motherboard

Kingston SSD-BIOS - 00.jpg

The Kingston M.2 SATA SA400M8/240G firmware is SBFK62B3
Are there any firmware updates for this M.2 SATA SSD ?

The Kingston SSD manager is not showing any firmware updates.
Other users have reported that firmware updates are not shown, in the SSD manager, if the SSD is the primary boot drive.

Thank you for your greatly appreciated support.
Kind regards and Best wishes

You're most welcome, and thanks for the report on the SSD upgrade.

As far as firmware updates, you would have to check on the Kingston support site, but I doubt there are any, since the Kingston SSD manager didn't report that there are any.

I don't see that they even have support for your model drive, except in the 2.5" variety.

Support - Kingston Technology

Enjoy the faster performance a SSD provides!

Best Regards,

Paul
