Product: Envy 700-406
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to add an SSD (as my primary drive) to my system. I was going to go with a SATA SSD but just found out that the M2.2280 SSDs are almost 6 times faster. My question is will a M2.2280 SSD (like the SanDisk - Ultra 1TB Internal PCI Express 3.0 x4 (NVMe) Solid State Drive, Model SDSSDH3N-1T00-G25) work on the Envy 700-406 or must I use a SATA SSD???

This PCIe x 1 card should work.

Thanks for the quick response. I knew that my motherboard was probably NOT compatible. However, it didn't dawn on me that there might be an adapter. Thanks!

 

I haven't quite decided to go with the SSD. But, I'm almost there!
