Hi Paul, thank you for your answer

I think that it won't be necessary open a new post because thank to you the problem is solved. As you said i don't have the board and the cable, it can be seen in the picture that I found on web where there is a 15-dw1000 opened, this model is sold by HP with an HDD already mounted.

15-dw1000 sold by HP with HDD, we can see the board and the cable that i don't have: https://ibb.co/SnYFmHX

My laptop opened: https://ibb.co/CBkGnQV

Solved this question, i have just one more, i swear that is the latest:

If I mount that board (L52024-001) will I be able to mount an SSD like this too (SSD: https://it.crucial.com/ssd/mx500/ct500mx500ssd1/ct19303499)? because in the manual i read "Hard Drive Board" and next I see "Solid state Board". Which one should I buy to mount that SSD ?

Thank you for your patience

You're very welcome.

I don't believe you can add a second M.2 slot to your notebook.

Why not make it easier on yourself and just replace/upgrade the existing 256 GB NVMe drive with a 1 TB NVMe drive such as the Samsung Evo 970.

Then use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook on the larger drive.

Here's an info link for how to use the cloud recovery tool.

Hi Paul

I was intended to place a 2.5" SSD where they usually place a HDD, and it should work if I add the board that you mentioned and the cable.

Maybe there will be some struggle with the caddy because I don't have the original one and the seller of the 2.5" SSD won't sell me, so i think that the best solution is replace the NVMe that I have already with a bigger one

As always, I say you thank you for you patience, as you understand i'm not a computer expert and your help has been very precious

Goodbye, Leonardo
