HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Most the time Memory Slot stops working with No display/High Fan Speeds is

Pin not making contact to RAM [cleaning with soft/medium brush or tooth brush]

Drain power completely/ Hold power button 30 seconds to 1min and pull CMOS BATTERY before doing

Dip in 70%-100% rubbing alcohol if must just let sit long enough to Evaporate before connecting any sort of power.

Capacitor leaking will cause Slots to work even with smallest leak. Bad Caps don't always bubble

If you don't have tester, I just replace all lol

Also CPU pins bent, broke or making connect with another will cause RAM Slots malifunction

and last drivers before stop working could do it[Reformat never hurts sometimes]

If turn PC and Fans Speed up intensely it's usually Hardware Issue

Pins are fragile and easily bent

Compatibility should always be check first, before changing RAM

Got bored, questions unsolved

Not had buffering issue yet tho.

Not the smartest detailed answer but more of General Idea where to start.
