Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

My 4TB HP FX900 NVMe SSD intermittently is not recognized by my Mac Studio running the latest version of Mac Sequoia.  It is mounted in a Satechi hub, and sometimes it is visible and works well, other times not....tried plugging. and unplugging, rebooting and the like and whether the SSD appears or bot is unpredictable.   I've replaced the Hub twice and now that it is not the problem. 

 

Any suggestions, or should I be replacing the SSD?
