Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello HP community, I have a problem, which is that my device does not support this system at all, and when I activate it in the BIOS settings, it tells me that there is no hard disk. I have done everything impossible for this problem, but no solution works. Please download updates for the 15-da1018ne device to solve this problem. Please help me, I want to download Windows 11

Hi:

 

See my screenshot below...it sounds to me like your notebook's BIOS mode is set to legacy.

 

Since I installed W10 in EFI mode, you can see from the screenshot that my BIOS Mode is set to UEFI, so I can enable secure boot.  You cannot enable secure boot in Legacy mode because it uses a different boot structure and that is why you are most likely getting the no drive found error.

If I am correct, then you will have to reinstall W10 in EFI mode.

 

To do that, you need to boot your W10 installation media from the EFI USB boot source.

How to install Windows 10 in EFI mode ?

Make a bootable USB recovery drive with the HP cloud recovery tool.

 

HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Customer Support

 

You will need a 32 GB USB flash drive for this.

 

When you go to boot from the USB flash drive, you select the EFI USB Diskette on Key/USB hard drive and not the Legacy one.

 

Press the Enter key, and W10 will install in EFI mode, and you should be able to turn the Secure Boot setting on.
