My Graphic card Ndivia GEforce 8500gt  seems to have given up as It is not recognized anymore.

I need to replace it but do not know what the compatible card would be. The power supply is 300 W with Vista 64 bit SP2 . Has 4GB RAM.

Can someone advice please?

many thanks.

@ranjitw,

There are 2 factors in your request.  The Geforce 8500GT is a circa 2007 card, rated at 30W.

1) The need for a 30-50W card that is Legacy BIOS.  Modern cards will not work.

2) locale:  Those old cards are pricey on NewEgg UK.  I would suggest you try any local shop, flea market.  Is there a website that caters to used computer parts?

Let me know what you find.
