Microsoft Windows 11

I have called several times for help. I would like to use my hp all in one desktop with a dual monitor not to mirror but to work with (run different programs on each monitor) Can someone please help me purchase a separate monitor that I can connect with my all in one and also accessories (cables) if needed also with instructions

@BeBe87 , welcome to the Community.

 

Your computer has 1xHDMI 1.4 port (Out).  Here is a monitor that has the same connector.  I believe that it should work fine.  If you don't like the one in my link it will give you an idea of what you need to buy.

 

Here is the User Guide.  Look at the section titled "Connecting video devices using an HDMI cable (select products only)" on Page 17.  This will explain how to connect a TV or monitor to your computer.

Which cord would I use ? I do not want to mirror I want to run other programs from this monitor so basically doing more than 1 thing

@BeBe87, you would use a "HDMI" 1.4 cable.  The monitor in the link that I provided states that it comes with a HDMI cable.  Once you have the second monitor connected, choose "Windows Key" + P" to bring up the Project options.  It will give the option of PC screen only, Duplicate, Extend (this is what you want to do.) and Second screen only.  I don't believe that you should have any problems.
