Pavillion Desktop TP01-0050
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm looking to add a graphics card for dual HDMI/Displayport monitor output capability, but it seems the default power supply isn't going to handle that.
So I'm looking to upgrade the power supply. On the Amazon listing for this model, an HP rep answered a question to say that it is possible, and indicated it may be necessary for add-on cards.

So I need to ensure that it's possible, and learn what details I need to know in selecting a new, stronger power supply that will work with this pc.

@BDFroedge , welcome to the Community.

The motherboard in your computer is HP proprietary. It has a 4-pin power connector instead of a standard 24-pin ATX power connector. You will have to buy any PSU upgrade from HP.  The most powerful PSU that is compatible with your motherboard is 500W (L05757-800).  Here is a Chart to show you where I got the information: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Knowledge-Base/Power-Supply-Cross-Reference-for-specific-model...

Your exact model is not listed, but all of the Rother motherboards have the same connector.  You can order it on HP PartSurfer: https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=L05757-800

Just click on the box next to "Add to Cart".
