I have an error in device manager for the hp 500-046 stating that I need a multimedia control driver. Where can I find it?

It's some model TV tuner that needs a driver when you google the hardware ID you posted.
I wouldn't be able to help you with that.
My Cinema-PE9400Combo - Support (asus.com)
The newest ones I could find are for Windows Vista.
The above driver is the closest one that I could find for the hardware ID you posted.

This W10 IDT audio driver should get the sound to work again. Restart the PC after installing the driver.

I followed your steps. It did not work.
I found this under Device Manager-Multimedia Controller, Properties, "Device PCI\VEN_1131&DEV_7164&SUBSYS_F1110070&REV_81\4&789b33d&0&00A9 requires further installation."
PS: I have an NVIDA GT 620 PCI-Card installed, if that helps.
