The screen or power button does not lite up when the power button is pushed

I have had it at two shops and one said the screen was burned out and could not be replaced - the other said the mother board needed repair/replaced -

Ques:  where would I get any of this done

and is it worth it?

@AzAnn,

Sorry to tell you this, but the unit is 10 years old.  It has only minimum specs with the CPU 1.8GHZ, 10/100 LAN, and WIN 10 with 4 GB RAM. There are many sub-component boards that attach to the main board. Several of these could be the problem, especially inverter board for the screen display.  The motherboard from China is $99, and you'll likely pay $75 or more to get it installed. Then you will have to explain to Microsoft the new board, as it will not have an embedded WIN 10 digital license.  If hassled, you spend another $40-50 for an online (legal) download.

Then again, you do all that, and the culprit was the screen or inverter board.......I feel the pain from here.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..
