Product: HP Z400
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey all, got a z400 been slowly upgrading it but ive hit a wall with CPU. Based on my specs, what is the best CPU i could look at installing? From my googling i think its the w3580. Figured id ask the pros

 

Current CPU: Intel Xeon W3550 @3.07GHz

RAM: 16GB DDR3

STORAGE: 1.8TB

MOBO: Hewlett-Packard 0B4Ch

MOBO VERSION: 786G3 v03.12

Graphics: Gtx 1050 ti

 

6 DIMM btw

@JustaJuggalo , welcome to the forum.

 

Here is the Product Specifications page for the workstation.  If you look at the section titled "Processors", there is a list of compatible processors.  These are the processors that have been fully tested to assure that they are compatible with the motherboard.  Any other processors will not necessarily work.
