Hi @Chris_Edwards41,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the number keys on your HP ENVY x360 13.3-inch laptop's keyboard aren't working, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
Check Num Lock Key: Some keyboards have a Num Lock key that might affect the number keys. Make sure it's turned off if your keyboard uses this feature.
Restart the Laptop: A simple restart can sometimes resolve temporary issues with the keyboard.
Check for Driver Issues:
- Go to Device Manager (right-click the Start menu and select it).
- Expand Keyboards, right-click your keyboard, and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.
Run the Keyboard Troubleshooter:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Click on Additional troubleshooters and select Keyboard.
- Run the troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.
Test in Safe Mode:
- Restart your laptop and press F8 (or Shift + F8) before Windows starts to enter Safe Mode.
- Check if the number keys work in Safe Mode. If they do, the issue might be software-related.
External Keyboard Test:
- Connect an external keyboard to your laptop. If the number keys work on the external keyboard, the issue might be with your laptop’s internal keyboard.
Check for Physical Issues: Ensure there are no physical obstructions or debris under the keys. Gently clean the keyboard with compressed air if necessary.
BIOS Update:
- Check if there are any BIOS updates available for your laptop on the HP website. Sometimes updating the BIOS can fix hardware-related issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
