Hi thanks for reading. I’m new to upgrading computers. I’m looking to upgrade the fans, ssd m2 and maybe ram. Any suggestions on the cooling especially. I can deal with the m2 and ram but having an issue finding fans

This is a full service stop, and others might gain from it.  The HP 870-244 (circa 2017) as shown here, supports an M.2 socket 3 Key M device, like an NVMe SSD.  The CPSu socket is LGA 1151, and that determines CPU heatsink/fan combo kits.  RAM capability is 4 slots,  PC4-17000 (DDR4-2133), HP recommends a max of 32GB (4x8GB). RAM should be installed in matching pairs. Only certified RAM will work. See Crucial support page.

Carefully measuring available areas in the chassis is very important.  This service guide might help.

1) Heat rises, so the first area to consider is the top of the case. (as large as possible).

2) An filtered intake at the bottom of the case, provided you elevate the case 2" and clean the filter.

3) Side of case,  the grill can support a 15mm thin case fan. (intake).
