Omni 100 all in one pc will not boot/power up.
When I push the power button, I can hear the fan engage and spin but nothing comes up on the screen. The first time I tried to turn the computer on this morning, the little blue light on the lower right corner DID light up but nothng else happened. After watching/waiting for 10 minutes, i held my finger on the power button to turn the machine off, waited a few minutes, hit the button again. The second time, the fan started going but the blue light did NOT come on this time. I waited 5 minutes and nothing happened. This time, I just pulled the plugg out of the wall and waited 10 minutes, plugged it back in, hit the button, same thing,,,fan engaged, no blue light,,,fan just spinning/whirring but nothing comes up on the screen.
I have another one of these computers and i switched power supplies and the power supply is fine.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. It is a great site for information and questions. I read your post about the HP Omni 100 not powering up. It will be a genuine pleasure to assist you.
At the outset, a commendable job was done by trying some troubleshooting steps on your own. It was awesome on your part to the swap power cord and try that on a different computer which confirmed that the power cord works fine. Hats off to you for a job well done. Truly amazing! It’s always a pleasure to work with technical specialists like yourself.
It looks like a hardware issue with the computer. Let’s first do a hard reset on the computer. Please perform these steps:
- Power down the unit.
- Disconnect all peripherals from the computer.
- Press and hold the power button of the computer for about 15 seconds to discharge static electrical charges inside the computer.
- Then connect only the power cord and try to power it back up.
If it works the issue should get resolved. If not, then it is a hardware issue with the computer and you will need to contact HP phone support by visiting this link: http://hp.com/contacthp
