Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

How come I can only connect 5 Thunderbolt devices, At first I bought an HP Z Book laptop and it could only connect 5 devices, so I thought it must be that the laptop could only connect 5 devices, and then I bought a  HP ENVY TE02-0003na desktop and That only connects 5 devices as well. I know it's not any of my equipment or the cables as they have all been tested and all are working fine. I have 6 UAD devices and so I need all 6 connections.  I'm sure I'm not the first person to have this problem so any help much appreciated as the assistant doesn't work and they are both new computers .
