Hello, I have an omen 45l since July 2024, I had it working without problems with the ram at 5200 MT / s, with overclocking gaming hub application, since the last 2 Bios updates a blue screen appears, the XMP 1 and XMP 2 profiles do not work, a blue screen appears, in order for the pc to work, I have to have the default values. What solution is there for this problem generated by HP? I say generated because before the update I didn't have it.

Hi @Kreuz1
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing issues with your HP Omen 45L after a BIOS update and RAM overclocking. Here are some steps you can take to address the blue screen errors related to the RAM:
1. Roll Back BIOS Update
- Check BIOS Version: If the issues began after the last two BIOS updates, consider rolling back to a previous version that was stable.
- Download Older Version: Visit the HP support website for your Omen model to find older BIOS versions. Follow the instructions carefully to flash the older version.
2. Reset BIOS to Default
- Enter BIOS: Restart your computer and press the BIOS access key (usually F2, F10, or DEL) during startup.
- Load Default Settings: Look for an option like “Load Optimized Defaults” or “Load Default Settings” and select it.
- Save and Exit: Save the changes and exit the BIOS.
3. Test RAM Settings
- Use XMP Profiles: After resetting, try enabling the XMP profile again. If it results in a blue screen, you may need to manually set the RAM frequency and timings instead of using the XMP profiles.
- Lower the Frequency: If 5200 MT/s is causing issues, try a lower speed like 4800 MT/s or even 4600 MT/s.
4. Update or Reinstall RAM Drivers
- Check for Updates: Ensure that your chipset drivers and any RAM-related drivers are up to date. Visit the HP support site for the latest drivers.
- Uninstall/Reinstall: You can also uninstall the existing drivers and let Windows reinstall them automatically.
5. Check RAM Stability
- Run Memory Test: Use Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool or MemTest86 to check for RAM stability. This can help identify if the RAM is faulty or if the settings are causing the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
