HP Elitedesk 800 G1 Tower
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

Looking for the part number of the 3.5 inch hard drive caddy to fit my new to me HP Elitedesk 800 G1 Tower.

Can anyone help, do caddies from other HP Towers fit?

I've just bought a used Tower, but it has had all caddies removed before sale unfortunately.

THanks

Hi:

For 3.5" drives you don't need a caddy.

You need 4 isolation mounting screws.

You screw them into the hard drive and slide the drive into the bay until it locks in place.

See chapter 5, page 70 of the service manual above.

There should be some spare isolation mounting screws inside the case mounted on the frame.

Look at chapter 5 page 60 of the manual for the location of the spare HDD mounting screws.

If they stripped the PC of those too, then you can buy some on eBay pretty cheaply.

Before buying, ask the guy if these are the screws for 3.5" drives because usually they are silver in color.
