Hello,

I have a question regarding upgrade of SSD Drive. At the present moment my last SSD drive ended his life (SanDisk X110 256GB m.2), is it possible to upgrade my computer with m.2 NVMe drive like -> SK Hynix BC501 256 GB M.2 PCIe M.2 ?

I can't find anywhere what interface built in m.2 socket is supporting. Is it only m.2 SATA or m.2 PCIe and m.2 NVMe also ?

Best Regards

Gregory

The specs of your machine is

                 https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05321103

It has

  • 128 GB M.2 Solid State Drive which is M.2 SATA SSD
  • 1 TB

You can replace 128GB using M.2 SATA SSD from

                      https://www.crucial.com/products/ssd/crucial-mx500-ssd

                      https://www.samsung.com/au/memory-storage/sata-ssd/ssd-870-qvo-sata-3-2-5-inch-1tb-mz-77q1t0bw/

Or similar from reputable vendors. For example

Hello

Based on the information received from you, I can say that my motherboard only supports M.2 SATA disks.

That's unfortunate but it is what it is.

Thank You for Youre help.

Best Regards

Gregory
