Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I have a pavilion P7-1001 and I wanted to make it into a PC I could use for gaming. I wanted to know what (if any) modern CPUs would work In this computer and what a good GPU would be as well.

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

 

The p7-1001 was manufactured in 2011.

 

You are limited with respect to CPU upgrades and graphics card upgrades.

 

It is possible to play games with your PC but you have to provide info on what games you want to play.

 

Your PC will not play current AAA games at decent frame rates.

 

Time to buy a new HP PC.
