Pavillion 570 P026
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Pavillion 570 P026 will not power on after just shutting itself off. Green LED indicates power by plug.  Power switch does nothing.

I did trouble shooting as suggested all the way to switching voltage back and forth with plug disconnected.

What to do next?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you, however you are addressing a laptop with power supply, and I have a desktop.  The troubleshooting steps do not apply.

Can you check model and respond if you have a solution.

Are these models known to have power supply failure issues?

It's about 3 years old (only)!

@twounder,

Yes, looks like the article doesn't address the power issues for desktops.

I recommend you follow step 1 and 2 from the below link and check if it helps.

No these steps are useless which is why I contacted community for support - I tried these steps first after researching myself.

Are these desktops prone to these types of problems?

There is no power - either to the switch, or power unit is bad.  the green indicator light is solid green showing power from the outlet to the power receptacle on the back of the computer.

Can you escalate this to someone who may be able to help?

thanks.
