Hello To all,

 

My cousin send me his Computer Set (slightly used). Brought from US.

its HP Pavilion a4311f-b.

 

Now, I was very shock to what just happen.

The Power Supply of the CPU just got fries when i turn it ON.

 

I know US power voltage is different from the Philippines.

I Plug the power cord to 110V on my AVR.

 

- Can i found a replacement of it with the same 110 voltage type, here in Philippines?

- or is it possible that i can replace the Power Supply of the CPU into 220V type?

Aside from it being 10 years old.  I can not guarantee you did not fry the motherboard.

1) The PSU did have a switch: 250-watt (max) power supply (Zinfandel), Bestec ATX-250-12V) - 100-120VAC and 200-240VAC input (switch selectable), 50/60Hz.

2) It will not accept a modern graphic card. Only cards that are circa early 2012 or older 2011-2009 will work, and that does require a more powerful switchable PSU.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..
