Envy TE01-0020
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Sorry to be sort of re-posting a similar question, but I've been on the phone with support all day.  I'm looking to upgrade my power supply for my Envy TE01-0020.  I've seen the older posts but much of their recommendation isn't relevant/available right now.

Is there a 400 or 500 watt power supply that will work with my computer?  Does anyone have a specific recommendation (I need it to support a new graphics card that requires either an 8-pin or 2 6-pin connectors).  Thanks.

@mshep25,

I am the author of the spreadsheet that hopefully you studied.

Those models all have a common upgrade path.  I have tried to cross-reference these units.  These PSU's all have the same plugs to the various motherboards.  The 400 and 500 W units have a PCIE 6+2 plug added. Installation is straight forward.

Here is a video

thanks.  studied is a strong word but I've spent some time looking at it 😀.  so just to be clear (i'm a little new at this)...it looks like only the 180 watt and the 400 watt PSU are compatible with my Envy TE01-0020, and that the 400 watt PSU has all the needed connections  for the existing components PLUS an additional PCIE 6+2 which should work to connect to a 8-pin connector on the video card?  Thanks again.

@mshep25,

All PSU's fit the same chassis.
