Power supply upgrade 590-p0030

Hello All

 

Does anyone know if it possible to upgrade the power supply on the hp 590-p0030?

the current one is 310w. Looking for something around 450-500w

@KirillB , welcome to the forum.

 

Unfortunately, the most powerful power supply unit (PSU) that you can install in your computer is 400W.  Here is a Power Supply Cross-Reference Chart: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Knowledge-Base/Power-Supply-Cross-Reference-for-specific-model...

 

Your model is not listed, but any of the PSU's shown for the 590 series will work.  Your motherboard is a proprietary.  It has a 4-pin power connector instead of the standard 24-pin ATX power connector.  You will have to buy the PSU from HP.

Thank you for the info!

This machine is unique, i was thinking about replacing the case and the power supply, but the the logic board is custom too. 🙂

 

i’ll probably go with 400w, thanks

There is a 500W,  the HP L05757-800

Thank you for the info!

it was hard to find to picture of the actual power supply just by the part number. I found the the mode that comes with it 690-0073w, and checked the back of the machine to see how the power supply looks like. looks like you are right. Also, for those who looking for place to purchase it, you can order it directly from hp,
