Product: dc5800
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My DC5800 SFF PC has the parallel port header connector installed on the mother board however the port does  not show up neither  in the BIOS nor in the device manager. I understand that HP sold the D061AA  extension cable kit but a simple extension cable has not the capability to make the port suddenly appear  in the device manager!! So the extension cable must have an internal jumper that activates the port. Same problem on an Elite 8300 running Windows 10. 

Can someone confirm that?
