ok so recerntly i not long cleaned out my HPE-340uk and just when i was putting the last piece back togehter IE - the top pannel back into slot i kinda cliped this small component that seems to be stuck down with a black sort off sponge that seems to be glued or something to the case
i checked to see where the wire is leading considering it leads down into the case and found out its connected the the 802.11n Wireless LAN card ive also noticed that my internet connection drops below 3 bars when really it should be 5 bars all the time
is this a matter that can be solved by my self or do u have to send the PC back to HP
my computer is a HP pavilion HPE-340uk

The problem description is a bit vague.
Typically the wireless LAN card has two wires running up to the top of the PC under under the top cover. It should not be a big deal to repair the issue.
This article is for a slightly differnet model PC but it's close to what you want to do.

The service procedures for the wireless LAN card are quite specific. There should be two wires going to the top of your PC for a wireless LAN card. Your issue must be with some other component inside the PC.
Post some images of the issue.

I never really knew that there where to wires going up to the top i only have one and its connected to the right side
its wierd now cause i did not know i should have had 2 antennas
il work on getting some screen shots
but all im really trying to figure out is can i fix this problem my self or not
all thats really happend is that the reciver at the top
all that is happend is that that black foam thing thats stuck to both the base of the antenna and that thin strip of metal above the base has basicly come unstuck from the bottomand im trying to find a way to fix it do i need a new one or can i simply glue it back on

Doesn't the wireless LAN card have taps for two leads?
You only have one wire going to top?
How did the screw get sheared off? That would almost seem impossible to do.

forget about the red Arrow as the arrow dose not pose my problem
see in the red circle you see a sponge like material connected between the base of the antenna and the thin strip of metal at the top and it seems to be glued down but not sure what , my problem is that that the sponge and became unstuck from the base meaning it no longer sticks anymore and im trying to figure out a way to reconnect it
also about the 2 wires i only really have one like i said i did not know there where suppose to be 2 maybe on other models of the HPE but considering i got this PC refurbished would that explain why
